The complexity of the existing space and the transformations that needed to be carried out in order to equip this space with an adequate operating area for the proper functioning of this club, led us to the limit, in terms of use of space efficiency and functional dynamic. The space allocated to us consisted of two different stores, on two separate floors, in a total area of 520m². After our intervention, we were able to unfold the space in 4 levels, between floors and half floors, taking full advantage of the diversity of heights that the stores had, achieving a total use area of 966m².
These constraints forced us to rethink the program location strategy and made us develop an efficient and practical new circulation scheme. The entrance floor is located on an intermediate level, from which the different fitness and crossfit studios are distributed, each on each different floor. In the entrance floor are located the main use spaces, such as the Cardio Area, the Kids Area, the technical offices, the functional training space, and the larger studio. On the lower floor – in the basement – are the changing rooms and a smaller fitness studio, while on the upper floor there is an area dedicated to free weights and a spinning studio.
Resolved the programmatic issue, at the image level we tried to maintain the same identity of the remaining clubs shaping it to this new spatial design. Yet, we kept the same young, dynamic image with extreme appeal for the color and textures of the coating materials.
